Background

The National Economic Empowerment Fund Limited (NEEF) is a government-owned Microfinance Institution whose mission is to economically empower ordinary and underserved Malawians (particularly women, youth, and persons with disability) through the provision of quality, affordable and sustainable microfinance services for improved livelihoods.

NEEF invites applications from suitably qualified, mature, ambitious, professional Malawi Nationals with a passion for results and respect for ethics and hands-on experience to fill the vacant position.

Job Description

• To provide functional support in developing, testing and maintaining software applications and innovative ICT solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Designing and customizing software solutions, ensuring they align with NEEF’s operations.
• Optimizing existing software applications, ensuring they meet the current and future NEEF’s requirements
• Implementing innovative and software application projects as assigned
• Maintaining records of application configurations, updates, and test results including user guides and feedback from development processes
• Integrating applications with existing ICT systems to ensure seamless operations.
• Troubleshooting software issues and providing user support for application functionality.
• Providing training to end users on new applications and system enhancements to build technical skills
• Proactively identifying opportunities for innovation within the organization’s ICT landscape, including emerging technologies that could enhance operational efficiency and service delivery
• Collaborating with various departments to understand their needs and gather requirements for new applications or enhancements to existing systems.
• Collecting and analyzing user feedback post-implementation to identify areas for improvement in application functionality and user experience
• Maintaining application-related documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, training materials, and troubleshooting guides.
• Exploring the integration of green technologies that could enhance application performance while reducing environmental footprints.
• Preparing periodic reports

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Information Technology, Computer Science or any related field from an NCHE accredited institution;
• 3 years of working experience in a similar role
