Background

The National Economic Empowerment Fund Limited (NEEF) is a government-owned Microfinance Institution whose mission is to economically empower ordinary and underserved Malawians (particularly women, youth, and persons with disability) through the provision of quality, affordable and sustainable microfinance services for improved livelihoods.

Job Description

• To provide procurement and asset disposal services

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Participating in the development and reviewing of the Fund’s procurement, disposal of assets, and supply policies, strategies, manual, annual procurement plans, work plans and budget.
• Liaising with user departments, divisions and sections on the procurement of goods, works and services in liaison with user departments.
• Participating in the preparation of Preparing Tender Documents, Request for Proposals (RFP), Pre-qualification and contract documents and administering procurement contracts
• Preparing Procurement Notices for advertisement with the media.
• Opening of Tenders and Proposals.
• Drafting bid evaluation reports for forwarding to IPC for approval and or records.
• Inspecting goods and equipment supplied.
• Participating in research on market trends on key product prices, availability and suppliers.

Qualification and Experience

• Master’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, obtained from an NCHE accredited institution.
• 3 years work experience, with 3 years is at similar management level.
