In a significant step towards enhancing agricultural productivity among farmers, the National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) Limited successfully distributed over 150 bags of urea fertilizer to more than 50 families in Salima District on 30th December 2024. The distribution took place at the NEEF branch office in Salima, aimed at supporting farmers who showed interest in getting a loan from NEEF under its farm input loans program.

Beneficiaries from Malaka 2, Tekesa, Ndiwo, Khwidzi and Kanyenda villages from T/A Ndindi, Karonga, Mwanza and Khombeza respectively expressed their gratitude and excitement about the potential increase in food production and income, emphasizing that this support will allow them to cultivate their land more effectively.

โ€œThis program is a lifesaver for us. We could not have afforded these inputs without NEEF and Governmentโ€™s help, and now we are hopeful for a better harvest,โ€ said Clomuwell Phiri from Malaka 2 village, T/A Kambwiri who received 5 bags of fertilizer.

This program will see a lot of farmers in the country who have applied for the Farm Input loan with NEEF benefitting with either fertilizer or money that will help them elevate their farming during this yearโ€™s farming season.
