The National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) continues its mission of empowering young people across Malawi.
On 6th to 8th June NEEF held a series of impactful youth engagement meetings in the Balaka Zone, starting with a session at West Hill Lodge in Ntcheu on Friday, followed by a two-day youth engagement in Mangochi.

The meetings aimed to provide young people with detailed information about NEEFโ€™s loan offerings and practical guidance on how to access them, particularly the Micro Irrigation Loan, which is currently being disbursed.

Speaking during the Mangochi meeting, NEEF Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Humphrey Mdyetseni, expressed his deep passion for youth empowerment and emphasized their critical role in Malawiโ€™s future.

โ€œStop complaining and begin developing clear, forward-looking plans aligned with Malawiโ€™s Vision 2063,โ€ Mdyetseni urged, encouraging young people to take full advantage of NEEFโ€™s financial support.

Youth Chairperson for Ntcheu, Mr. Fred Kawalewale, described the meeting as an invaluable opportunity. โ€œMany youths in Ntcheu have been eagerly anticipating a chance to engage with the Fund and explore opportunities to access loans that could support their businesses,โ€ he said.

In Mangochi, the two-day engagement attracted an enthusiastic crowd of young people eager to learn about available financing opportunities.
