Not wanting to be left behind while their fellow youths are benefiting with NEEF loans, Youth of Dedza district saw it paramount to call upon NEEF officials for a stakeholders awareness meeting.
The meeting took place at Mountain View Lodge in Dedza on 23rd May 2025. The aim of the interface meeting was to continue the sensitization of NEEF to the general public, acquire input into the policy frameworks and help one another in fulfilling the Malawi 2063 vision of 'Transforming Malawi into an inclusively wealthy, self-reliant and industrialized nation.
Giving his remarks at the meeting, Mr. Enerst Chatonda, Dedza Vice Chairperson for the Youth at the meeting urged the youth to leverage on the information that was shared to uplift their various businesses.
Mean while, NEEF Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Humphrey Mdyetseni, also pleaded with the youth on the same to take advantage of NEEFs Micro irrigation and Farm implements loan to diversify their farming in this winter cropping season for greater returns.
He also emphasized that, "those that are accessing micro irrigation loans must be people that are willing to go by the conditions and fit the admissions criteria."
Dedza has so far benefited MK7.1 billion through 8816 clients and 3430 clients are the youth.
